Fusion Technology provides plasma cutting training and certification. Plasma cutting is relatively
simple, but most operators without formal training produce marginal cut quality and poor consumable life. Plasma cutting
also has special safety hazards related to high amounts of metal vapors produced.
A typical plasma cutting training
program will cover the following items:
- Plasma cutting safety
- Metal vapors and respirators
- Consumables
-
Cutting techniques
- Plasma cutting Equipment
- Plasma cutting gasses
- Effect of standoff distance on cut quality
-
Drag cutting vs standoff cutting
Included with each training program:
- Full-color
training manuals for each student that are tailored to the
particular customer's welding and cutting equipment
and requirements.
- Classroom instruction with Power Point presentation
- Hands-on training for each student on their
respective equipment.
The hands-on training may be individual or performed with pairs or small
groups.
- Certification cards
- Databasing of training records
- Written recommendations for process improvement and
safety.
