Fusion Technology provides operator level
resistance spot weld (RSW) training and certification for all types
of industries and specializes in applications involving very thin, refractory, and precious metals. All of our customers have special
RSW processes and equipment, so our training programs are tailored to the particular company. It is not uncommon for larger companies
to have various departments with different equipment and processes. In these cases we edit the training programs appropriately for
each department.
Fusion Technology also provides high level resistance spot weld theory training
for Engineers and Designers.
A typical operator level RSW training program will cover the following items:
- Effects of electrode material
type and shape
- Electrode cleaning and dressing
- RSW weld force
- RSW weld time in cycles (AC) or pulse length (DC)
- Importance
of good electrical connections and contact
- Safety in RSW welding
- Quality, defects, and inspection of RSW joints
- Techniques for
developing resistance spot weld parameters.
- Polarity in DC spot welding
- Considerations for welding of different materials ie.
stainless steel,
molybdenum, tungsten, nickel, copper, platinum, etc
Included with each training
program:
- Full-color training manuals for each student that are tailored to the
particular customer's
requirements.
- Classroom instruction with Power Point presentation
- Hands-on training for each student on their respective
equipment.
The hands-on training may be individual or performed with pairs or small
groups.
-
Certification cards
- Databasiang of training records
- Written recommendations for RSW process improvement
