Overheating
has always been an issue on this car. The problem was finally
eliminated by addition of this fully ducted aluminum radiator from Griffen.
Hot air from the radiator exits the body through the original hole where
the radiator used to be. Because the front plenum is now heated,
fresh air to the cockpit is ducted through two 2-1/2" tubes into
the original dashboard vents. One of the fresh air intakes can be
seen inside the radiator duct on the passenger side, and the other draws
air through a NACA duct under the nose of the car.
Also
in these views you can see the battery in the front, right wheel arch,
Tilton pedal assembly, the blade-type fuse block, and the
circular MIL connectors which distribute power from them.
Oil
Cooler
The
oil cooler is mounted where the left hand gas tank would normally reside.
A NACA duct feeds air to the cooler through two 3-1/2" flex tubes.
An Earles oil thermostat is mounted on the bulkhead behind the driver
to keep the oil warm for street driving.
