The hydraulic clutch system utilizes Girling slave and
master cylinders. The slave is mounted to a 1/8" thick stainless
steel plate that shares the bell housing/engine block bolts. An aluminum
heat shield was added between the header and slave before any overheating
problems were encountered. The original clutch actuation arm was cut
off, and a new stainless steel arm was welded in its place. The original
arm extended down from the shaft, while it needs to extend upward for this
application.
